We know how important your privacy is, and we take it seriously. This page explains what information we (the Fluor app and the website fluorapp.net) collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Please take a moment to read it through — we’ll keep it simple and clear.
Who We Are
Fluor is an open-source utility for macOS, built for people who want to make their Macs work just a little bit better. This website and the app are run by a small group of Mac enthusiasts. We are not a corporation or marketing company — just regular users who built something they wanted to use themselves.
What Data We Collect
On Our Website:
When you visit fluorapp.net, your browser automatically sends some standard information: things like your IP address, which browser you’re using, and which page brought you here. Like almost every website, we use this data to make the site work, keep it secure, and see what pages are popular. We don’t connect this data to your name or identity.
If you fill out our contact form or send us an email, we’ll have your email address and whatever information you share in your message. We only use this to reply to you.
Inside the Fluor App:
The Fluor app itself is designed to be as respectful as possible. It does not collect, send, or store any of your personal data. Nothing leaves your Mac, ever. The app doesn’t “phone home” and there are no analytics, ads, or hidden trackers. Everything happens locally on your device.
Cookies and Analytics
Our site may use simple cookies to remember your preferences or help us understand how people use the site. For example, we might use Google Analytics to see how many visitors we have. We do not use cookies to track you personally or show you targeted ads.
You can always clear or block cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.
Advertising
Some pages may display Google AdSense ads to help cover our hosting costs. Google may use its own cookies or tracking tools to serve these ads. You can learn more about how Google handles data here.
We do not have access to your personal data through these ads.
How We Use Your Information
We use information from the website:
- To keep the website running and secure
- To answer your emails or questions
- To understand (in general terms) how many people are using Fluor and which pages they visit
We never sell your data or share it with marketers. We don’t send out newsletters or collect any payment information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your information — for example, to ask us what data we have about you, to request deletion, or to ask us to stop processing your data.
If you want to contact us about your privacy, just send an email to hello@fluorapp.net. We promise to respond quickly and do our best to help.
Kids’ Privacy
Fluor and this website are not made for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect any information from kids.
Changes
Sometimes we may update this privacy notice if our practices change. When we do, we’ll put the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
